Barrcode is a well established developer of professional software solutions for audio applications for close on 15 years.
Its early products included sophisticated CD Jukebox play-out systems used by both commercial radio and the BBC. Later this was followed by some of the first ground-breaking hard-disc technology that could be used to playback ad-breaks and jingles etc.

2010 sees Barrcode releasing the next generation of its flagship product BCX 3 Premier together with upgrades and additions to BCX-DJ.
The new Premier edition draws together the best elements of the previous BCX Silver and Gold packages with added functionality and enhancements. Contact us for more details and grab yourself a trial version.

BCX software has been in development for nearly 15 years, starting its life as CD jukebox control technology, developing into a sophisticated hard disk media playout system. It has been used for years by many broadcasters and now retailers, venues and transport organisations trust it to meet their needs too.
BCX Playout is our flagship product; a flexible Windows based playout system for the radio industry. It is based on BCX Technology that has been developed and refined with the help of customer feedback for nearly 15 years. In that time it has been implemented by a variety of broadcasters, big and small, who appreciate its appeal to professional users in providing reliable performance while being very flexible to meet a wide variety of specific needs. Check out the new BCX 3 Premier release.
BCX News is a Windows based package to organise the workflow of scripting news.
BCX Venue is the banner under which we deliver custom solutions aimed at venues in a way that you can trust to be reliable and do their job but also be flexible enough to deal with any scenario.

Using BCX Technology in a retail environment enables each store to benefit from a programme that sounds like its being presented from the back room but is actually completely automated.

Transport is an important marketplace for Barrcode where we offer complete Customer Information System (CIS) implementations or enhancements to existing systems under the BCX Transport CIS banner.
We've made BCX Technology available at heavily discounted prices to those in Educational applications such as Media Studies courses and the like.
Broadcast professionals often get involved in events outside their workplace and prefer to use the same professional tools as they have at work. For this reason, Barrcode is happy to offer the Personal Edition of BCX Playout. This edition is limited to a single user who may earn up to £2,500 of revenue per annum using the software.. Support calls and software upgrades are chargeable.

This is another special variant of BCX for DJs and nightclub owners. Now it's your turn to join the BCX club and take your music presentation skills to the next level. You'll find your songs quicker than ever before. You'll be able to save your popular sets as playlists. Seamless segues will become your trademark and a visit to the loo will be a leisurely affair from now on as BCX- DJ sequences to the next song for you.
BCX-DJ can read music and audio in several formats, such as a Wav file (these files take up a lot of hard disk space) Mp3 files, or the newer compressed format called Ogg Vorbis, which arguably is better than Mp3, delivering Wav quality and occupying no more hard disk space than an Mp3 file. Even if you only have rudimentary computer skills, you will find this user manual easy to follow. If you have a teenager to hand, it will be even easier!
Check out the new version released in tandem with BCX 3 Premier and the new enhanced version added to the BCX-DJ family.
